A Mystery
Thursday, April 19, 2007
Yesterday Lori had begun feeling a little better, and we had high hopes that she would be released yesterday afternoon. However, yesterday evening the Doctor was still concerned about the loss of fluids and asked her to stay one more night. It turned out to be a very good call, as Lori threw up "a lot" last night.
Lori's Doctor is now calling in an infectious disease specialist who will hopefully help us get to the bottom of this mystery illness. Through it all, the baby seems to be doing fine, kicking mom at all the regular intervals.
Please continue to hold Lori in prayer and pray for wisdom for all the Doctors to figure out exactly what's wrong and the safest way to make her better. Thanks for all your prayers.
UPDATEThe Doctor just saw Lori and confirmed that this is just a lower intestinal infection that will take some time to heal. Lori is digging in for the long road ahead and we will keep you all posted!
